Dermatology Care for West Hollywood, Brentwood & Bel Air Patients
The office at 435 N. Roxbury Drive sits within a short drive of West Hollywood, Brentwood, and Bel Air: roughly five to ten minutes from West Hollywood via Santa Monica Boulevard, and about ten to twenty minutes from Brentwood or Bel Air via Sunset Boulevard, Wilshire Boulevard, or the 405 corridor.
This is a single-physician practice. Dr. Zaks personally performs every injectable, laser, and procedural treatment, performs your skin examinations and biopsies, and reviews your pathology results with you directly. Patients are never seen by rotating physician assistants, nurse injectors, or aestheticians for these procedures. That is the main structural difference between this office and the multi-provider or multi-location model: the physician who chose your dose and mapped your anatomy last time is the physician assessing it this time, and the examiner comparing a changing mole is the same one who documented it a year ago.
Both medical and cosmetic dermatology are treated as core work rather than separate businesses. On the medical side: skin cancer screening and same-day biopsy when a lesion is suspicious, with pathology typically back in about five business days; acne and acne scarring; eczema; psoriasis; rosacea; hyperhidrosis; shingles; and nail and scalp conditions. On the cosmetic side: conservative Botox® and filler, Vbeam® for redness and visible vessels, Titan® skin tightening, and salicylic acid or Cosmelan® protocols for pigment.
Dr. Zaks makes a diagnosis first and recommends only what is indicated, including declining treatments that will not help. There are no treatment packages sold in advance of a diagnosis. Most PPO plans and Medicare are accepted for medical dermatology; cosmetic treatment is self-pay.
