Overview

Evolysse™ is a hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler line from Evolus. Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule that occurs naturally in skin and binds water; when placed in the dermis or deeper tissue planes it restores volume, supports overlying skin, and softens creases. Evolysse™ gels are produced using the company's Cold-X Technology™, a cold-processing crosslinking method intended to preserve the natural structure of the HA chains and produce a smooth, tissue-integrating gel.

Dr. Zaks uses Evolysse™ where a smooth, well-integrating gel is an advantage — cheek volume restoration, lip enhancement, and careful correction of the under-eye hollow. The line has been recognized with the SHAPE Best Filler award. Because filler results depend far more on the injector than on the brand, Dr. Zaks performs every injection personally, working conservatively and reassessing before adding more product.

Where Evolysse™ Is Used

Cheek Volume Restoration

Rebuilding midface support that flattens with age, which in turn softens the nasolabial folds and improves overall facial contour.

Lip Enhancement

Subtle volume, better definition of the vermilion border, and improved balance between the upper and lower lip.

Under-Eye Hollows (Tear Troughs)

A delicate area treated conservatively with small volumes to reduce shadowing. Candidacy is assessed carefully, as this area is prone to swelling.

Perioral Lines and Corners

Fine vertical lip lines and downturned oral commissures can be softened with small, superficial placement.

Nasolabial Folds

Direct treatment of the fold, often combined with cheek support for a more natural, longer-lasting improvement.

The Treatment Experience

  1. Facial analysis and plan

Dr. Zaks assesses volume loss, asymmetry, and skin quality, then determines which Evolysse™ formulation and what volume suit your anatomy.

  2. Injection

Filler is placed with a fine needle in small increments, with frequent reassessment in the mirror. The gels contain lidocaine, so most patients find treatment very tolerable.

  3. Recovery

Expect mild swelling for a few days and possible bruising. The final contour settles over about two weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Cold-X Technology™?

It is the cold-processing crosslinking method Evolus uses to manufacture Evolysse™ gels. The intent is to preserve the natural structure of the hyaluronic acid chains, producing a smooth gel that integrates well with tissue.

How long does Evolysse™ last?

Hyaluronic acid fillers generally last between several months and roughly a year or more depending on the formulation, the area treated, and how quickly your body metabolizes the gel. Areas with more movement, such as the lips, typically need refreshing sooner.

How much swelling should I expect?

Mild to moderate swelling is normal for two to five days, and lips and the under-eye area swell the most. Sleeping with your head elevated and using cool compresses helps.

Can Evolysse™ be combined with Botox®?

Yes, and they are complementary — neuromodulators relax the muscles that create dynamic lines while filler restores lost volume and structure. Both are often performed at the same visit.

What is the SHAPE Best Filler award?

It is a consumer beauty award recognizing the Evolysse™ line. Awards are helpful context, but Dr. Zaks selects products based on tissue behavior and the result he is trying to achieve for you.
